NEW! OVERCOMING GENERATIONAL TRAUMA

Addressing intergenerational trauma in foster and CSEC youth is an emotional journey that emphasizes their resilience and hope. By working together, we can offer vital support for their healing and development. Building understanding and empathy fosters a safe space for self-expression. Empowering these youth means not only confronting their trauma but also providing them with the tools and resources to face future challenges. Join TCA team members, Russ and Angie, as well as Russ's daughter, Pema, as they share personal experiences and discuss ways to help youth break free from negative cycles to create new legacies.

ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING HEALTHY BOUNDARIES WITH CSEC YOUTH  

Join our TCA Team to learn how to establish, implement, and maintain healthy boundaries with CSEC Youth. Creating and upholding these boundaries is essential for fostering a respectful and supportive environment where everyone feels understood. When we set clear boundaries, it builds trust and ensures that everyone feels seen and appreciated. By being consistent and demonstrating these boundaries through our actions—rather than just words—we encourage positive interactions that make the space warm and welcoming for all involved. 



SAFETY PLANNING AND BUILDING TRUST WITH CSEC YOUTH

Engaging in conversations around safety planning, harm reduction, and life challenges with CSEC youth can feel like navigating a maze while blindfolded. Whether you're new or experienced, you might feel inadequate or worry about making empty promises. There’s no need to worry! Join our TCA Team on this virtual training to learn strategies for building trust and fostering meaningful conversations. We will explore techniques to encourage open dialogue, help youth develop safety plans, and make decisions for the best outcomes. This session will provide practical insights and strategies to better engage with CSEC youth, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs so they feel seen, heard, and valued. Using trauma-informed methods and practical tools, you can support and empower each young person on their journey.

INTERFAMILIAL TRAFFICKING OF BOYS

This training will raise awareness and provide critical insights into the often-overlooked issue of boys being trafficked within familial contexts. Participants will explore the dynamics of intergenerational exploitation, including the psychological and social factors that contribute to this form of trafficking. Through personal narrative and interactive discussions, attendees will learn to recognize the signs of familial trafficking, understand the unique challenges faced by male victims, and explore intervention strategies.
